Today we went to see the sea lions in Seal Bay and I saw about 100. We went on a guided tour on a beach, that’s where we saw the sea lions. Some of the sea lions were big and brown, some of them were white and some of them were pups. Then we went back to the cabin and played a game of monopoly. This time I only played with dad. Unfortunately I lost but it was still fun. Then we got ready to go to a canoeing place and we went canoeing on the Harriet River. I sat in the middle, mum sat at the front and dad sat at the back. Dad was the steerer and mum and I paddled. We paddled up Harriet River and stopped at a beach. We got out and I paddled in my clothes. When we rode up to go home I walked because it wasn’t far. Then we went back to our cabin and I fed the wallabies including Skippy.

Today we caught the ferry from Cape Jervis to Penneshaw and it was a car ferry. Then we drove around Kangaroo Island and went to the American River. After that we drove to Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery and I saw an emu. At Emu Ridge I saw an emu puppet that was made mostly out of emu feathers. I also picked up an emu feather and kept it. Also I saw a pink bird with grey and white wings and it jumped all over me and bit my hair. Then we drove to Vivonne Bay and that is where we are staying and our house is called Island Breeze. Then we walked down to the beach which is only half a kilometre away. At the beach I found a billion cuttle fish and we kept half of them. At about 5 o'clock pm we saw three wallabies and I got to feed them. I named one Skippy!
That night we played monopoly and I won!

Day 2 – Victor Harbor,Goolwa, Murray mouth, Granite Island

sunny 30 °C

Today we walked around the town and went to a lolly shop and bought a Harry Potter chocolate frog with a wizard card in it. I got the one famous wizard I didn’t want, Voldemort! Then we went to the markets and I bought a blue flat crystal. After that we went on a paddle boat and I rang the bell on it. It was quite loud! Then we went to the Murray mouth and I dug for shell fish and I found four. Then we walked along barrage and got to see the seals. Then we rode a horse drawn tram and it was very fun. The horses name was Misty and she was 16 years old and I got to pat her. After that we walked around Granite Island and there were big rocks. Then we went back to our cabin and had fish an chips. My favourite part was when I got to pat Misty and got to see the seals. I liked that most because Misty was really big and cute and also the seals were frolicking in the water.

Today we drove to Sydney airport it took us 2 hours to get there by car and the airport was very busy. I went to a lolly shop that had a billion different types of lollies. I got a big snake, a few little snakes, some malteasers, white chocolate and raspberry balls, jelly beans, gummy bears and lots lots more. We got on the plane and it took us 2 hours to get to Adelaide airport. On the plane, and in the car, I read Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Then we drove to Victor Harbor. It took us 1 hour and 15 minutes to get there. We stayed at a motel and at the motel I finished my Harry Potter book, so now I’m reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, on my mums Kindle. We also played mini putt putt golf. We had to try and get the least amount of putts. I lost with a score of 70 putts. Dad came second with a score of 63 and mum won with a score of 53 and she scored a hole in one. I loved it because it was fun and we laughed a lot.
